Animated cinema – Venezianimation – Short films

WINNING SHORT FILMS (2009)


SUBJECT AND AIMS:
An on-line competition associated with the 66th International Film Festival, called Venezianimation and aimed at young people from around the world aged between 18 and 26 years of age for the production of a short animated video of any subject and of a maximum duration of five minutes (5').


HOW TO PARTICIPATE:
Payment of Euro 5 per contestant.

JURY:
The short films sent correctly shall be judged by a jury of experts, presided over by Marco Müller.


PRIZES:
The first 3 filmmakers in the rankings will be given hospitality and accreditation at the 66th International Film Festival on Sunday September 6th and Monday 7th on the occasion of the presentation of the Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement to John Lasseter, and of the Disney/Pixar Animation Master Class organized at the Lido by the Biennale with Disney/Pixar. Moreover, other animated short films will be selected and will be visible on-line at www.labiennalechannel.org included the animated short films by the first 3 filmmakers prize-winning. The first 3 filmmakers in the rankings will also have free accreditation for the 67th International Film Festival in 2010.
