Patrícia’s phrase
Already in the barre I felt very touched with her way of teaching.
Investing in the authenticity of the artist.
Going from the technique, and not enclosed by it.
Valuing what whispers and shouts inside you is what makes a true artist.
And not Broadway faces.
The surprise of surrending to myself allowed me to be ready to a nice and new experience.
I didn’t feel safe, but living a full and opened emptiness.
The obstacles are our opportunity to create light. And so it was.
We were 4. The group dispersed, and the quartet made room for a duet.
The meeting with Malcolm was inevitable for the sensation to take the body, to create life.
We created through exchange.
If he didn’t want to exchange I wouldn’t be able to receive, and if I wasn’t empty I couldn’t have filled myself with it.
That’s how we fueled ourselves. Through authenticity and technique, surrending and emptying, accepting the obstacle and at last, dancing.
Thank you Francesca, for opening the door.
